Lucy the Cabin Caboose

Lucy the Cabin Caboose

Lucy the Caboose is a roll-away cabin you can rent for your backyard, vacation property, or select campgrounds. We bring it to your location.  Or you can book a stay at Lucy's home property in scenic NH through AirBnB.

This truly unique experience puts you in a reproduction of an 1880's narrow gauge caboose - you can sense the rhythm of the rails as you drift off to sleep in the queen bed of the cupola.

The Caboose was lovingly constructed in New Hampshire by skilled craftsmen who wanted to remain faithful to the 19th century inspiration, but add modern amenities and conveniences (like plenty of outlets to charge your cell phone!).

The Caboose has electricity and running water. The bathroom has a flush toilet and shower with hot and cold water. The galley kitchen sink and mini-fridge help you feel right at home. In the cooler months, a propane stove provides ample heat. In the warmer months, window shades and screens on the windows, as well as skylights that open, help keep the place cool. Lucy is fully insulated, with sheep's wool, to maintain a comfortable environment throughout your rental.

The Caboose has a door at either end and is accessed via metal stairs. This antique stove once heated a railroad caboose. Now converted to propane, it heats this one as needed.
